During my research on “food deserts” in South LA, I captured the environment through photography. Initially, I planned to use the images alongside my other findings. However, the visuals were powerful and conveyed a narrative about the obstacles to achieving good health and wellness. As a result, I compiled these images into a book, here are a few excerpts.
